"mp3 is going to stay for quite a while I believe.
Still it is my opinion that people will come to appreciate high quality audio.
I use either ALAC or 256kbit/s AAC for my music, it depends on the song/album.
Sure it takes a lot more space, but I think/know that the audio quality is distinguishable.
I performed a blind test (@SeanOHara: though not the one you can conduct in FooBar2000, I admit)
and with my iPod nano 2G and a pair of Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi 10pro, I was able to clearly distinguish a 192kbit/s VBR mp3, encoded with Lame 3.87 from a 320kbit/s AAC file, it was even easier with the lossless files.
I have to say, though, that it depends on the music."
"I'd like to know the price, even though I believe it's going to make me scream.
It's a bad sign when there is no pricing information in the site.
..."
"Ok, since this has been a serious freak out by most of the commenters here on the Giz I like, I decided to order the book on amazon.
I have to admit that I've heard the title and certainly the name "Alan Moore" but I know nothing about it.
So now "Watchmen" and "The Swamp Thing" are on their way to my doorstep.
Now that all my exams for this semester are over I finally have time to read again, YAY!"
"VOTE: Acronis TrueImage
A bit pricey, but it works really well and has saved our family PC more than once.
Sometimes it takes one or two tries to restore a harddrive that has been backed up with incremental backups, but it has never failed me."
"I'd like you to squeeze out the system requirements of Diablo 3 for the Mac out of Blizzard.
As well as, if not more important than, the probable, but realistic release date.
That would be great."
"Awesome it is!
Installed it yesterday and it works like a charm.
@zmnatz: The thing Quicksilver and Spotlight cannot do is directly log into sites using data stored in 1Password, like purduepete said.
@Adam Pash: I am one of those persons."
